Head of the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA), Ramsay Ali is of the firm view that Guyana is poised to become a regional leader in agro-processing once the gas-to-energy project comes on stream in 2025. In fact, Ali, who is also the CEO of Sterling Products Limited, said the US$1.7 billion project, a critical component of Guyana’s agenda for diversification, will address the costly power generation challenges facing the manufacturing sector. He also expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of new industries.
